Liverpool Ramblers is one of the largest walking groups in the country. We arrange around walks each year, ranging from short to long, from low-level strolls to mountain scrambling. Wirral Walking Guides Wirral’s rich and diverse landscape lends itself perfectly for outdoor adventures and is highly popular with walkers from across the country. To celebrate our fantastic mix of coast and countryside, we have developed some walking guides below which help you explore these scenic elements of our landscape.

Wirral Council maintains about km ( miles) of public footpaths bridleways and byways, plus other ‘permissive’ paths and off road cycle tracks. The official public rights of way are recorded in the Definitive Map.

A full public access route map showing all routes is in the early stages of development. A book of 30 short walks from Wirral Villages ranging from 1 to 5 miles in length on a vast network of footpaths.
